A partnership that goes from strength to strength
Partners since 2011, Virgin Australia and Starlight share a common commitment to helping young Australians. Virgin Australia's community partnerships focus on Indigenous Australians and supporting youth at risk and Starlight's mission of brightening the lives of sick kids is a key part of this commitment.
As an official Wishgranting partner, Virgin Australia's support has helped Starlight deliver life-changing Starlight Wishes to an ever increasing number of sick kids and their families, and since 2011, Virgin Australia has provided flights to destinations all over Australia for over 1000 Starlight families. Virgin Australia staff say being involved with Starlight Wishgranting is an experience that's both humbling and rewarding for everyone involved. Over the years of our successful partnership, Virgin Australia has played a key role at significant milestones, such as granting our 9,000th wish for Gabe and our 10,000th wish for Syel. In 2018, Virgin Australia helped us commemorate another cornerstone event, Celebrating 30 years of fun, joy and laughter. Thirteen Starlight families were treated to a Party in the Sky at 30,00 feet which kicked off with an exclusive VIP experience at Sydney airport's Virgin Australia lounge.
