Doing laps for sick kids

"I hope that my donation will bring joy and happiness to sick kids and hopefully can aid in their recovery"

Emily is a 13-year-old who loves to swim, and trains 10-12 hours per week with her local swimming club. She is passionate about doing something for others, so when the Super Swim challenge came up the decision to dive in and go the distance for sick kids was an easy one.

A fun-loving kid herself, Emily can appreciate how important it is for kids to enjoy their childhood. She understands that being unwell can be a difficult time for kids, and hopes her fundraising will help bring some joy and happiness to sick kids; "As the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine!"

Throughout the Super Swim challenge Emily has remained positive and enthusiastic, sharing her journey with friends and family on social media, and with her local community through a story in the local paper. She encourages fundraisers to simply ask for support, and always remember the ultimate goal of helping sick kids.

With just a few days to go until the challenge ends, Emily has nearly hit her target of swimming 60kms, and has smashed her fundraising target, having already raised over $1200 – what a swimming super star!
