If Erin were a Captain Starlight, she says she'd be known as "Captain Sunflower!" And we can see why - people often comment that she's a "ray of sunshine!" She's made a real impact in the Starlight Express Room, bringing fun and positivity to every shift.

Erin is a "big kid at heart" who regularly volunteers in the Starlight Express Room at the Sydney Children's Hospital, Westmead. She is amazing. She's so bright and sunny, bringing something special to every interaction, however small. Let's hear from Erin about her Starlight story:

"I first joined Starlight because I love the organisation and its mission, and to be able to help children who need some sunshine is truly magic. I'm a big kid at heart, I'm trained in childcare, my own children are teenagers and my flower business keeps me busy in a 'grown-up' way! So to have this ability to escape and have a bunch of fun with little people is awesome.

I walk out of every shift giggling about something - from Captain Starlight's shenanigans and crazy jokes, to the complete unpredictability and creative detours! But normally it's the kids who come up with unreal one-liners, amazing perspectives and inspiring resilience that just completely lights me up!"

And Erin's advice to someone looking to join Starlight's volunteer team?
