Here at Starlight we're pretty skilled when it comes to finding ways to connect with seriously ill children in isolation. And just like all of us, these kids are also feeling the stress and anxiety of the current health crisis, whether they're isolated at home or in hospital.

As the situation in each hospital continues to change, we’re working as part of the hospital community to find creative ways to keep seriously ill children and young people connected through our programs.

Technology like FaceTime is being used in hospitals so that Captain Starlight can virtually visit hospital bedsides!

Our hospital broadcast, Starlight TV is now being streamed into the wards of even more children’s hospitals across Australia.

Livewire Online, our program that connects socially isolated teenagers through a 24/7 online peer support network has never played a more important role!

Many Starlight Wishes continue to be delivered, although our travel wishes have been grounded for the time being. These wishes will be rescheduled as soon as we can. There’s no one size fits all approach, but we are working with Starlight families individually to make sure we meet their needs.
