Pirate Fun & Adventure at the NSW Extravaganza
Ahoy there! On the weekend, our 'Friends of Starlight' from The Royal Motor Yacht Club, Port Hacking, hosted Starlight kids and families for a fun day of cruising at our NSW Extravaganza.
The event helped families with a seriously ill child enjoy time together and feel a world away from the stress of hospital and treatment.
A convoy of approximately 26 boats filled with smiling faces cruised the calm waters of Port Hacking as families relaxed and soaked up the sights.
The boats all rafted up at South West Arm, where families hopped from boat to boat and enjoyed socialising, delicious food, listening to live music, and importantly sharing lots of laughs. The bonds of Starlight friendships seem unbreakable!
Kids were having a ball splashing around in the water and enjoying rides on jet skis and speed boats.
For some kids it was their first time on a boat, for others they were excited to catch up with friends they'd made at last year's Extravaganza, and for everyone it was a fun-filled day to remember.
Our Captain Starlights got their sea legs and kept everyone entertained with endless fun and games on deck!
Arrrr, with thanks to our supporters and volunteers, it was the perfect pirate day out on the water for sick kids and their families - and thankfully no walking the plank!
