Louise Baxter has significant experience in senior marketing, sales and communication roles; and is described as an "inspiring and authentic leader. Louise was a member of the Sydney board of Leo Burnett Connaghan & May Advertising and was founding partner of Brave New World Advertising.

In 2001, Louise first moved from the Corporate to the "Profit for Purpose", commonly referred to as the NFP sector, to do something more valuable with her skills. Louise returned to Starlight as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director in 2009 and under her leadership Starlight has experienced significant growth in program delivery and fundraising. During this time Starlight has also been awarded AON Hewitt Best Employer accreditation, is in the top 20 in Australia’s Great Places to Work and #1 most reputable charity brand supporting children & young people.

In 2016 Louise was acknowledged by CEO Magazine as Australia's NFP Executive of the Year, and in March 2019 Louise was acknowledged in Pro Bono Australia's Impact 25 Awards which recognise the 25 most influential and inspirational people in Australia’s social sector as nominated by their peers.



Felicity McMahon joined Starlight in 2007 to lead a comprehensive project to undertake a needs analysis that would underpin Starlight’s long term program strategy.  In the Head of Programs role, Felicity has been able to see this strategy implemented, including significant expansion of programs for adolescents, the build of three new Starlight Express Rooms, the development of the Captain Starlight program in remote Indigenous communities and the implementation of a research and evaluation program.    

Felicity’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Human Resource Management) and a Masters of Public Policy and Management.  



Susan Henry is an experienced Human Resources Executive, having joined Starlight in 2001. Her key areas of expertise include Strategic Planning – Whole of Business, and People & Culture strategies, alignment and engagement strategies, high performance culture development, capability building, leadership development and change management.

Susan’s qualifications include a Diploma of Teaching, Graduate Diploma of Employment Relations and an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney.



Driven by a passion to make a difference, Kristie joined Starlight in 2017 as Head of Marketing & Fundraising and is a member of the Executive Team.

Drawing on her extensive experience in FMCG Marketing and eCommerce, Kristie is responsible for raising awareness, engaging supporters and growing sustainable revenue streams to support Starlight’s program delivery.

A strategic leader with a drive to develop people and businesses, Kristie brings creative thinking and analytical expertise to her role. Kristie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Diploma of Market Research.
