Happiness is a flying unicorn!
Augmented reality launches in the Starlight Express Room
Your support helps us continue to develop new and innovative ways to creatively engage and distract sick kids in hospital.
Using the latest augmented reality technology, kids at Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital have seen their artworks come to life off the pages of a colouring book.
Kids colour-in then scan their very own picture of a unicorn, dragon or rocket ship. Then before their eyes, their pictures transform into animated moving images on giant screens on the Starlight Express Room walls!
There were smiles far and wide as this new initiative helped kids take a break from the reality of treatment and hospital.
It gave sick kids a creative outlet and the chance to learn about a fun new technology too.
This innovation was only made possible because of your support and has helped kids battling serious illness see that anything is possible.
Flying fun for sick kids - all thanks to the magical power of your support!
