Christmas Cheer in the Starlight Express Rooms
This December more than 44,000 kids will be admitted to hospital. Thankfully, they can still enjoy some festive fun thanks to our supporters.
With tinsel, treats and lots of surprises, every Starlight Express Room transforms into a magical wonderland for kids too sick to go home for Christmas.
At Westmead and Randwick Children's Hospitals, Starlight Express Rooms turned green as The Grinch theme took hold!
Kids and families were entertained with a Starlight Christmas pantomime and special guests included Darryl Brohman, Carissa Walford and stars from the Sydney Kings.
At the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle Knights players joined in the festive celebrations along with some furry creatures from the Hunter Valley Zoo!
In Monash, Melbourne Victory players surprised kids on the wards and there were more smiles as Storm Troopers sprang into action to help spread the Christmas fun too.
The Children's Hospital in Perth became a winter wonderland, while in the Royal Darwin Hospital the countdown is on for the 12 Days of Christmas!
Starlight Express Rooms help sick kids and their families take a break from the reality of hospital and with some magic from Captain Starlight, they can enjoy the wonder, joy and happiness of Christmas.
